UC1184: Black Ronin Ninja Sword Slimline Machete
United Cutlery

The Black Ronin Ninja Sword is named after the rogue samurai warriors who wandered without a master throughout Japan. This item measures a 26 7/8" long and features a 17 1/8" full tang blade constructed from tempered 420 stainless steel with coated non-glare black finish. The grip is traditionally hand-wrapped and tied with black nylon cord. This sword also includes a fiber-reinforced nylon sheath with lashing grommets and fully adjustable nylon shoulder and leg straps. An excellent addition to your ninja collection!

Cons: Finish
hatefully perfect
I first recived this item as a christmass gift, and was extreamley eager to test its limitations.out of the box,the straps are a pain in the neck to figureout, but once youve got it rigged, and sharpend proaperly its a damn fine weapon, as well a rugged realiable tool.ive cut down a large number of varring sizes of hickerey, oak, and blackjack trees,as well as a number of metliac objects such as steel cable and other four the handle wrapping,it comes off in a couple of weaks, but its easily rewraped.the non gleair black finish scratches an wears off eventually, looks like stianless steel, overall a high quiality pice for hard dailly usue

This one is a mixed bag for many people... I received this as a gift from a friend who knows only one single thing about blades...that I'm a huge fan. So I cannot judge too harshly on something that firstly was a gift and secondly was in the ballpark of things that I like... That aside I have seen a couple of videos on YouTube and a number of written reviews that seem to really hate on this, "sword" (some people have referred to it strictly as a machete, I think it's more of a poor person's sword). Personally I like it a lot because of the huge huge huge thing that people seem to forget. It's unbeatable price! United Cutlery seem to have a stranglehold on making "fantasy" things or really anything cool looking but sometimes not functional and they do a decent job given how little they sometimes charge. This blade hangs on my wall in the sheath (no lies, the sheath could be a lot better, be warned it does not lock into the sheath and can come out of it simply from being banged around too much). Initially I had no plans to sharpen it, it came with a semi usable edge, but eventually I got one on it (I only use stones, so I imagine this is a lot easier with a machine). Again the big selling point here is the price, and let's face the fact that it does look neat. If you're looking for a gift to give someone, like a "my first sword" to someone, this couldn't hurt... Unless you stab them with it.
