Pros: Overall Quality, Design, Sharpenability, Sharpness, Construction, Material Quality, Durability
I have my paring knife, you have yours. This is the knife I give to friends who have forgotten the concept of a knife that cuts well. It's excellent steel, well-balanced, the red handle gets noticed among peelings, and perhaps it will even remind the giftees not to throw it in a drawer with dull knives and metal gadgets. But the price is sufficiently small, so I don't obsess about how friends will abuse it. It's a professional basic; there are probably dozens very like it in a commercial kitchen. This particular handle is above average for a dishwasher-safe utility paring knife. If it's treated with respect, it will serve well. If not, you've only dropped a few dollars.
