Zero Tolerance Knives

Performance First

ZT introduces the all-black ZT 0300. These aggressive combat knives features our quad mounting system for versatile carry options, and are equipped with the patented SpeedSafe® assisted opening system.

With SpeedSafe®, the blade can be deployed one-handed with an ambidextrous thumb stud or index finger protrusion. The 0300 is always ready to go to work - as quickly as they needs to be.

Built like our users’ lives depended on it - because we know they can - the ZT 0300 features a S30V stainless-steel blade with matte black Tungsten DLC coating. The S30V provides extreme durability as well as wear and corrosion resistance. The DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating enhances hardness and reduces friction drag.

For extreme mechanical strength and a secure grip, this high performance blade is paired with 3-D machined scales of superstrong, black G-10 and titanium. A titanium frame lock keeps the blade secure. Field adjustments can be made quickly and easily using the hex head pivot shaft nut. The 0300 quad mounting system lets the user mount the clip in four ways: tip-up, tip-down, on the left side, or the right. Any way it’s mounted, the blade stays secure until needed.

Pros: Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness, Ease of Opening, Lock Ease of Use, Pocket Clip, None
Cons: Weight
Excellent quality, worth the weight
I found the ZT 0300 to be well made and good to go right out of the box. I don't carry it as EDC in my small town but when I go out in the bush it's the first thing I hook on. The options for placing the pocket clip were a good thing; I easily tried and found the best one for me. One thing I should mention is, uh, well I took the clip off and put it with some other small parts on my workbench. Came back a couple days later and realized I lost the parts and the clip. It might be in the pile of stuff behind my bench but for now - gone. I wrote Kai USA and asked for a replacement, would pay for it, etc. They came back with "no prob, we'll send you another one free". You can't bet customer service like that. I marked weight as a "con" because half a pound of knife is serious carrying. When I get the web gear or other belts for in the bush the weight disappears.

Now I get why it's nicknamed Beast!
This is a beautiful rock solid machine! It's more than a knife to me. It is a sense of security when I ride alone. All my other knives turned green when I brought this one home haha. It is the sharpest out of the box knife I have owned. Still not as sharp as I will make it with a lansky but very impressive. It's not the fastest opening knife I have but you have to consider that blade has a lot of mass and physics won't allow it to snap like a stiletto. It does have a very satisfying and noticeable click when it locks up. I thought I would know it's in my pocket cuz at just over half a pound it's heavy but I hardly notice it's there. The handle shape carries it's mass in the width but is fairly narrow so it is a very comfortable EDC. I love it and you will too so go buy one now.
