Pros: Blade Sharpness, Lock Type, Handle Material, Overall Quality, Pocket Clip, Ease of Opening, Handle Feel, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, Blade Material
Almost the perfect knife; materials are top-notch, ergonomics are great, lock works excellent - rock solid and no play at all. Blade came shaving sharp and is a beautiful piece of work. I love the shape and the lines. I can take or leave the striping, it looks cool but we'll see how it holds up. The knife is fairly hefty, but weight does not bother me. I would prefer to know that I have a sturdy, reliable tool on me than save a few ounces...I do recall seeing reviews of the ZT0300 series knives prior to this purchase where the reviewers complained that the thumb stud is tough to get at...don't believe them. While it is a tight fit between the studs and the handles, you don't need much to get this blade to deploy thanks to the SpeedSafe system. I own a few KAI knives with this system and I love it - the blades open quickly but not so fast and sloppily that it jumps out of your hand.Lastly, yes the knife is expensive, however, you definitely get what you pay for. If you are looking for a china-made, thirty-dollar, piece of junk that might fail when you need it most, look elsewhere. If you are serious about the tools you carry and use, then this may be the piece for you. Nothing inherently wrong with cheaper knives, they do have their time and place, just remember - you get what you pay for when it comes to tools such as this.
