Zytel handle and black stainless steel pocket clip.

The Vaquero Series folders all feature our distinctive “S-Curve” clip point blade style. They are precision flat ground to form a long, shallow “V” shaped cross section. This is ideal for shearing through thick, fibrous materials such as manila rope, cable, hose, belts, etc. The serrated edges form a sinuous double curve. This means that whatever material is struck with the inward curving portion of the edge (near the hand) will automatically force the remaining curved edge entirely through.

These strong, handsome folders deliver an unequalled fit and finish. They are carefully machined and hand fitted by master craftsmen who take great pride in their work. Feel the power of the massively strong locking mechanisms as you thumb one of these blades open. The deeply checkered, and ergonomically designed Zytel handles are cleverly reinforced with enough rigidity, strength, and toughness to virtually last a lifetime. Double thumb studs on each side of the razor sharp blade allow you to open these folders with either hand in the blink of an eye.

For convenience, a black stainless steel pocket clip is included. This allows for safe and secure carry in any environment.

The series is available in four sizes, the largest being the six inch Vaquero Grande, and the smallest featuring a three inch blade. Overall, the Vaqueros represent an outstanding package of strength and workmanship, with singular good looks that give these knives a pronounced air of authority.

Easy to conceal, not only that but the blade combined with the handle turns this thing into a mimi machete, you could cut your way though thick vegetation, also for a combat situation, this thing is a very effective weapon with its long reach..The sharpness of the sinister shaped blade is scary sharp! A must have in any self defense situation, especially against multiple attackers..

I carry mine camping and its slightly smaller brother (5+") daily. This keeps it under the 5.5" Texas blade length limit. When pushing/pulling it in/out or thru material, the blade curve shape cuts a huge amount of material. I cut almost the entire side of a 2 ft moving box in half with one stroke. Great for slashing or stabbing w/it's stong lockback. Going to buy more for friends. It's also very intimidating, which might come in handy someday.

this knife is amazing. i have a pretty extensive collection of knives and i must say cold steel's serration patterns are the best I've used. i use this knife a lot and it has effortlessly sheared through just about everything I've put in front of it. i love big folders and this is one of the easiest to carry. its so light and surprisingly slim, it conceals well even in a jean pocket. the lock-up is very secure for such a large blade. the feel is terrific. no matter where you grip the handle, its always a very sure, comfortable grip. all in all one of my fav's and a strong recommendation for anyone interested in this knife.

I have three different models of these Cold Steel folders and they are Tuff. I work were I'm constantly cutting rope, banding etc., and this knife is like a mini chainsaw cuts through anything, maintains edge, light and for being this big fists comfortable in your jean pocket! Awesome quality and worth the money. All my coworkers carry a Vaquero!

This knife is big, but very carryable. Its very light and fast...can open with one quick flick of the wrist. I carry it hiking instead of a fixed blade now as there are plenty of nuts and the occasional mountain lion where I live. If you had to defend your life, this is one knife I would not want to face...you can grip way back and have the reach of a 9 inch fixed blade. In VG-1 steel as opposed to AUS 8 which is the older steel version, its a good blade to own. Again, its not bad in the pocket at all...I thought it would be a pain...but my use is 90% defensive use, any inconvenience with the size is made up by the peace of mind of the firepower this knife offers, its mean big and scary. Most people will run once you flash this monster. It will not be produced soon, so get one while you can. Only comes in serrated if you dont mind that. Cant sharpen this thing back to factory, at least with conventional methods. If you are considering a wicked serrated slashing defensive knife say on the order of the Spyderco Civilian, get a Vaquero, it will cause massive damage to any opponent at less than half the price of a Spyderco. One caveat, its a pinned design like the Voyagers...so it cannot be adjusted....mine does have a little play side to side and up and down...but its not a huge problem, esp for this size of knife for the price. Get it before its gone - all Vaqueros are vanishing soon out of production.
