KUKI5466A2: Ki5466A2 Matt Cucchiara Dukes Folding Knife, Dark Stonewashed
Kizer Cutlery

The Ki5466A2 Dukes flipper by Kizer Cutlery is a collaborative project between Kizer and custom knifemaker Matt Cucchiara of Cucchiara Custom Knives and it might just be our favorite yet. With the "chipped flint" Anso-style milled titanium handle, the Dukes will stand out from the crowd. Its true EDC size and stellar design style make this knife a treasure to hold. Smooth action with ceramic bearings and steel lock bar insert further add to the premium folder that will be the ace up your sleeve. It features a 3.58" stonewashed CPM-S35VN blade with a drop point shape and finger choil. The bearing pivot system allows for unbelievably smooth blade opening, as with all Kizer knives. But somehow this one seems to flip better and smoother than any other. Even the least accomplished "flippers" in our building can fire this blade out like a rocket. The dark stonewashed titanium handles are intricately milled for grip and are some of the most comfortable we've ever held. Every surface and every edge is contoured for comfort and gives the knife a very high-class look and feel. It features a replaceable steel lockbar insert that doubles as an overtravel preventer and comes with a tip up carry, milled titanium pocket clip.

Kizer uses high-tech wire EDM machines to cut the parts. This method is slower than laser or water jet but feel quality is worth the wait. Each component in Kizer knives are precision machined and engineered to the finest tolerances. The final fit, finish, action and sharpness of each knife are achieved entirely by hand, employing the irreplaceable craftsmanship developed by generations of cutler masters. Dedicated craftsman honoring the long-term goal of making the best knives possible is what Kizer brings to you.

This is one of the best folders I've owned
I've owned over 150 high end folders in my knife life... I EDC my folders. This Dukes A2 model is my third Kizer flipper. It took me a while to actually buy my first Kizer, mostly because of the unknowns regarding Kizer Customer Service and build consistency. The high end Kizers are in a similar price range as Zero Tolerance for example. And ZT's (KAI in general to be clear), have superb customer service even if it's rare to ever need service on a new ZT. But I ended up buying a Kizer Gemini a month or so ago and honestly, the Gemini blew me away. It's flawless in every way! So I was less reluctant to buy more Kizers. So this week I received a Kizer Dukes A2 model and the Kizer Kane flipper. I'm delighted to say that all three of my Kizers, the Gemini, Dukes, and Kane flippers are as perfect as a manufactured folder can be. The flipping action, F&F, handle comfort, blade steel, sexiness, etc., are superb on all these knives! The Dukes however, wins the flipping action contest hands down but all three are fantastic folders that I'm delighted to own! Next up is the Kizer Intrepid!
