Pros: Sharpenability, Design
Cons: None
Highly asymmetric grind. Out of the box edge was super sharp, but better for shaving than cutting food. One run on the stones, and I have an excellent butcher knife. Works great on filet and trimming silver skin on teres majors. Also, the steel in mildly reactive, great for a professional setting.

Garbage...just unbelievable
Thanks to Knife Center for allowing me to post a necessarily negative review. I have come to trust the Svord peasant knife over the last decade. I bought this knife expecting the same life-preserving dependability for my kitchen. Tonight I have been taught a painful lesson. This knife's tang has been left as soft as copper. It arrived in the mail today after anticipating it for a week. I brought it in the house, cleaned it off, and tried to cut a butternut squash in half, at which point the tang bent sideways and the handle split. This knife is built like an Old Hickory from the fifties; worse. The sad fact is that Svord could temper the entire blade for no more money. I am swearing them off after this. Knife Center, please send this lousy line of knives back to Svord before someone loses a finger. Thanks Knife Center for the excellent customer service.
