CIKO19071: Big Sable Slipjoint, Black Plastic Handles
Okapi is a pocketknife and hand-tools manufacturing company based on the North-East coast of South Africa. The Okapi knife is a working knife designed to be highly robust, practical and equally affordable all the while remaining faithful to its rich 112-year-old heritage. Whether an Okapi knife is needed for everyday tasks or to clean wild game, the 1055 high carbon steel blades are up to the challenge from one end the continent to the other. The black plastic handle, stainless steel stirrup, and back-strap, and sloping shape give the Okapi knives their distinctive look, recognizable by collectors around the world.

The Big Sable is a slip-joint version of the Okapi Locking Knife (KO9070). With nearly identical specifications, the Big Sable opens and closes smoothly with two hands. The tight back springs snaps the 3.75" blade closed with a crisp pop. A simple and effective, the Big Sable makes a great knife for everyday use, whittling and other rigorous cutting tasks. This black plastic version is good for those do a lot of wild game cleaning or those messy jobs you don't want to stain your wood handle version.
