THE KNIFECENTER PRESENTS

Dexter Ewing: KnifeCenter Product Reviewer
Benchmade has added another automatic opening knife to their line, a second design by accomplished knifemaker Mel Pardue dubbed the model 3550. This knife is currently the smallest auto that Benchmade make, and it joins its bigger brother, the Pardue model 3000.
The 3550 is a really nice looking knife. The aluminum handle is machined very well, with the traction grooves cut into the surface for a positive grip. The entire handle is hard coat anodized in black, with a matching steel pocket clip to facilitate in the ease of carry (for those qualified to own/use these knives). The small spearpoint blade (also available in partially serrated version) is refreshingly different from the other Benchmade autos, in that is not "intimidating" in appearance. The action is swift, yet due to the small blade the recoil is light.
Overall, the overall quality of the Benchmade Pardue 3550 is typical Benchmade - use of premium materials and superb machining all around. This knife makes the perfect gentleman's auto.
