The relationship with Hanwei & Paul Chen began in 1998 with the release of the original Shinto Katana, thus revolutionizing the quality of katana available to sword enthusiasts outside of a true Japanese made Nihonto. Over the years Hanwei and Paul Chen's name have become synonymous with high quality swords.
Our association with GDFB, which began in September 2008, continues to flourish. GDFB provides reenactors and role-players with an ever-expanding selection of armor and period accessories.
In late 2011 we began our relationship with Red Dragon Armory, a small group of dedicated makers based in the UK that had developed in conjunction with Dave Rawlings an excellent set of high impact polymer training swords for the HEMA market.
In late 2012 we completed the purchase of the Legacy Arms / Generation 2 line of medieval swords. The forge, located in The Philippines has been making significant waves with their reputation for extremely tough medieval sword reproductions.
2013 saw an increase in our fantasy and LARP offerings with the introduction of a large line of foam swords and accessories from Palnatoke of Denmark. A small team of former prop masters put together some of the best looking (and longest lasting) LARP swords available anywhere.
In 2013 we also partnered with Viper by Tecnocut and Kizlyar Supreme, knife manufacturers from Italy and Russia respectively to offer a wide range of high end hunting, tactical, and folding knives.
We at CAS Hanwei believe strongly in our products, and as part of that belief, we warranty our products against all manufacturer’s defects (workmanship and or materials) for a period of one year from the date of customer purchase (we extend this guarantee to the original invoiced customer only). This warranty also applies only when the product is used under normal conditions for which the product is designed, and does not apply to damage related to accident, misuse, improper care, negligence, and normal and/or excessive wear and tear.
