This Viking sword is better than the original. Made to exacting standards, with a hand-forged, high-carbon, folded steel blade, the Viking features a Damascus pommel and guard with an interwoven leather grip and matching scabbard. If the Vikings had used a sword of this quality, we'd all be speaking Norwegian!
The handle is comfortably covered with braided split leather and the scabbard is covered with the same leather. Brass pins highlight both. Blade is folded steel with layers showing. The guard and pommel is layered nickel damascus. The balance is very good and this sword feels light and very usable.
These are made in a new and very high quality facility on mainland China by very skilled craftsmen. They are real weapons and not cheap imitations.
