We Now Have A Review of the Vaquero Grande HERE
Vaquero Grande
Four hundred years ago Spanish settlers brought horses and cattle to Mexico where in the vast open range land they were set free to graze and reproduce. Soon there were huge herds and enormous ranches through out northern Mexico and what is now the Western United States. To work these huge ranches, local Indians were taught to ride a horse and heard cattle. As the years passed these early herdsmen became known as the Vaqueros (from the Spanish word vaca or cow) and were renowned throughout the west for their peerless horsemanship and their tradition of self reliance and rugged individualism.
Now Lynn C. Thompson has designed a unique, new folding knife that embodies all of the characteristics and rich cultural heritage of America's original cowboys and named it the Vaquero in their honor. Please take a moment and look at all it has to offer.
BIG
The overall length of the VaqueroTM Grande is slightly more than 13 inches making it the largest high quality folder on the market. Its awesome 1/8th inch thick, AUS 8A stainless blade measures a whopping 6 inches long by 1 3/6" wide. The Zytel® handle of the VaqueroTM is also very generously sized at 7-1/4 inches by 5/8 of an inch thick. But don't let these dimensions fool you. There is nothing clumsy or awkward about this knife. Instead, every effort has been made to make it as sleek and fast as possible. And when you consider it weighs a mere 6 ounces, we're sure you'll agree it's one of the best balanced and sweetest handling knives available.

The Vaquero'sTM unique "Nogales"tm Clip Point blade is without a doubt one of the most wickedly efficient designs on the market. The key to its unheard of cutting ability is two fold. First its extra wide blade has been precision flat ground to form a long shallow "V" cross section that is ideal for shearing through thick, tough fibrous material like manila rope, cable hose, etc. Second, its razor sharp serrated edge forms a sinuous double curve. This means whenever the target is struck with the inward curving portion of the edge (nearest the hand) a strong drawing motion will automatically force the remaining outward curved edge entirely through the target.
BEAUTIFUL
Words are just not enough to describe the wonderful curves and great lines of the VaqueroTM. In fact, we think the only way you'll appreciate its keen flashing blade and gracefully sculpted handle is when you cradle it in your hand.
The VaqueroTM is very portable and will fit easily into most pockets.with metal pocket clip
