CRKT offers a broad line of sport, work, and professional knives and tools that are purpose driven designs. The most innovative custom knife makers and designers in the industry have created their knives, tools and accessories. CRKT by Flavio Ikoma Flavio Ikoma is a Brazilian knife designer who says, "Since I was a kid, my life was influenced by blades, mainly the Japanese style swords and knives. My first knives were made of bamboo. In my adolescence I started to work... He started making knives when he was 15.
CRKT by Glenn Klecker Glenn Klecker is an award-winning knife and tool designer who lives in Silverton, Oregon. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. CRKT by Jim Hammond Jim Hammond was the first knifemaker to work with CRKT, beginning in 1994. His designs for CRKT folders set new standards of construction for production folding knives.	CRKT by Jon Graham Jon Graham of Cleveland, Tennessee, was born to a father who had an appreciation for knives, and at a young age he was taught the importance of a good knife.	CRKT by Ken Onion Ken Onion is an award-winning knifemaker most notably known for inventing the "SpeedSafe" assisted opening mechanism used by Kershaw Knives. Onion teamed up with CRKT in 2010 to collaborate with CRKT on many different knife designs.
CRKT by Kit Carson Kit Carson of Vine Grove, Kentucky, is a retired professional soldier, rising to the level of Sergeant Major. He has made knives for 30 years and has been a full-time knifemaker since 1993.	CRKT by Launce Barber Launce Barber is dedicated to discovering great design ideas by using the most fundamental tool we all share in common–our creative minds.	CRKT by Liong Mah Liong Mah is a designer working in New York City. He says, "As a kid my uncle would give me pocket knives and I would see what I could change to improve the design.

CRKT by MJ Lerch MJ Lerch is a custom knife designer who has been encouraged by the knife making community to pursue her design interests. She receives her inspiration from the spontaneous flow of nature.	CRKT by Pat and Wes Crawford Pat Crawford and his son Wes are recognized as leading practitioners of the bladesmith's craft. Their company, Crawford Knives, is located in West Memphis, Arkansas.
CRKT by Raleigh Tabor Raleigh Tabor says, "As the son of an Air Force Lt. Col., I traveled most of my life. In Wyoming, where we were stationed during my teens, I learned to enjoy the outdoors and the challenge of hunting and fishing. When my father retired in the '70s we moved back to our home state of Georgia, where I am still an avid hunter and fisherman.	CRKT by Ray Kirk Ray Kirk received his Mastersmith rating in the American Bladesmith Society in 2005. He has been making and designing knives since 1989.	CRKT by Ron Lake Ron Lake is a custom knifemaker in Eugene, Oregon. He joined the Knifemakers' Guild in 1971, and has been a full time knifemaker since 1972. He has received numerous awards.
CRKT by Russ Kommer Russ Kommer of Fargo, North Dakota, has been a commercial hunting guide since 1980. He started making knives when one of his hunter clients brought a custom knife and dressed an entire moose without sharpening it.	CRKT by Ryan Johnson Ryan Johnson (Chattanooga, TN) is president and primary designer at RMJ Tactical, LLC, whose Tomahawks have become a mainstay in the special operations community.	CRKT by Steve Jernigan Steve made his first knife in high school, but got serious with the craft in 1982, and joined the Knifemaker's Guild in 1984.
CRKT by Terry Renner Terry Renner is an artist and mechanical designer who previously designed and constructed tooling and fixtures for the bicycle industry for thirty years.	CRKT by Tom Hitchcock Tom Hitchcock of Talent, Oregon, is a custom knife and hand tool designer with many products to his credit. He has been designing knives and combination hand tools since 1979.	CRKT by Tom Krein Tom Krein is a full-time knifemaker with a shop in Gentry, Arkansas. He says, "By the time I was a teenager I knew I wanted to make my own knives."
CRKT by Tom Stokes Tom Stokes is an experienced product designer and mechanical engineer from the University of Virginia who has worked in the aerospace industry for over 20 years.	CRKT by Tom Veff Tom Veff developed a love of knives at an early age. The son of an Army First Sergeant, he traveled extensively and always sought out knife shops wherever his father was stationed.

History

Columbia River Knife & Tool® (CRKT®), a Tualatin, Oregon-based manufacturer of knives, tools, and accessories founded in 1994, has announced its new product line-up for 2010.

Company president and co-founder Rod Bremer notes, "Regardless of economic conditions, we have continued to work with some of the world's leading designers, and we are once again introducing a long list of new products that offer new mechanisms, innovative product shapes and colors as well as premium materials."

Sport & Work Knives. CRKT continues to "think outside the box" by seeking out new and unique designs and mechanisms, just when everyone in the industry thinks they have seen it all. For example, the company is introducing the tiny McGinnis Shrimp™, the Gekkota™ Pocket and Golf, the ExiTool™, Ta-Bar Tool™, Norfork™ Diver and Whitewater, and Klecker NIRK™– all exciting and unusual. At the same time, it continues to broaden it's traditional knife models, including for the first time, Classic pocket knives, as well as the Centofante Tribute™, Carson M4™-02 series, and the Delegate™ and Vertex™ lines.

I.D. Works™ Tools. This exciting line continues to be dedicated to multifunctional tools that are uniquely creative. The motto is simply "Inspired Design works.®" This year we're adding the award-winning Flux™ modular tool system and the inspired Eat'N Tool™.

Professional Knives & Tools. The CRKT "For Those Who Serve®" line of professional knives has proven very popular with operators in the field. This year CRKT has added a smaller Hissatsu™ 2 Folder, the fully-featured Fire Spark™ tactical folder, and the Elishewitz Tao™ tactical pen line.

More natural and premium materials. CRKT is continuing to specify the natural and premium materials that are common in the best custom knives, including more knives with layered Micarta®, G10, stag, jig bone, white bone, ram horn, and hardwoods such as thuya root, cocobolo, ebony, walnut, and burl.

Collaborations with leading designers. CRKT is probably best known for its K.I.S.S.® series, the original two-piece money clip knives designed by Ed Halligan, and its M16® series, designed by Kit Carson. "These knives were pivotal to our success," says Bremer. "We recognized them as successful custom designs which deserved to be put into production to reach a wider audience. We continue to seek collaborations with leading custom knifemakers and bright young industrial designers, because it is good for us, good for them, and good for our customers."

Growing distribution. You will find CRKT knives at fine cutlery, select sporting goods, specialty stores, and U.S. Army, Air Force, and Marine exchange stores worldwide. The company was founded on the belief that knowledgeable sales people are still valuable in helping you select the right knife for the job, advising you on care and maintenance, and supporting the product after you buy it. Their products are also available from reputable web site purveyors.

Quality. All CRKT knives and tools are built incorporating the most advanced equipment and production systems available, and quality is controlled from beginning to end. Knives are built the way they should be built-without compromising quality in any part of their creation. CRKT accessories are crafted to the same standards as the knives, so that each sheath, for example, lives up to the customers' high expectations.

Warranty Information

THE CRKT LIMITED LIFETIME KNIFE WARRANTY

This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship. If one of our knives ever breaks or fails because of material or manufacturing defect, we’ll replace the knife.

This warranty runs as long as you own your knife. Coverage ends if you sell or otherwise transfer the knife to someone else, or if your CRKT knife is modified in any way.

This warranty does not cover breakage or failure due to misuse of the knife. Knives as good as ours rarely break or fail because of a defect. Usually they break or fail from what we call “tool abuse”—using them for unsuitable tasks like prying or pounding. Therefore, blade tip breakage is not covered by our warranty. Use of a knife for any purpose other than cutting voids the warranty. (The exceptions to this caution are the A.B.C. Aqua and MAK-1 Multiple Access Knife which have tips designed specifically for prying.) So please match the tool to the task, and use your knife only for cutting. The knife will last longer, and you’ll be safer too. This warranty does not cover failure of mechanisms due to your failure to properly maintain them.

Also, consequential and incidental damages are not recoverable under this warranty. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of consequential damages, so this exclusion or limitation may not apply to you.

Misuse of your knife can cause serious injury or even death. It can also cause your knife to break or fail and the CRKT limited lifetime warranty will not apply. Failure to properly maintain your knife also may cause its mechanisms to not function properly, which could result in injury to you or damage to the knife. Follow the do’s and don’ts which are included in your CRKT knife package and the knife will last longer and you’ll be safer too.

THE CRKT ACCESSORY WARRANTY.

CRKT accessories, including deployment systems, carry systems, and sharpeners, have a one-year limited warranty against defects in material or manufacturing.

THE CRKT LED LIGHT WARRANTY.

On those CRKT products which contain an LED flashlight, the light mechanism has a 90-day limited warranty to the original purchaser against defects in material or manufacturing. Proof of purchase may be required for warranty claims.
