THE BILL MORAN FEATHERWEIGHT

A master at the forge with nearly sixty years invested in studying and making knives, Bill Moran contributes unmatched insight and refinement in the design of Spyderco's first fixed blade model. The shape of the contoured handle is descended from the small carving knives Bill once made and offers multiple grip positions. The handle provides for a secure hold and ultra-lightweight carry, incorporating durable fiberglass-reinforced nylon resin with rubber polymer inlays at the sides and thumb rest. The blade features VG-10 fine-grain high-carbon stainless steel, a razor-sharp edge. The versatility of this model comes from the long continuous curve of the cutting edge and a trailing point. Extreme care has been taken to balance each element of Moran's custom model - its size, weight and shape make it a "utility design" that fits securely into a crossdraw sheath. This Spyderco/Moran collaboration has all the edge a user would ever need from a camp-style knife. It is great for skinning and for backpackers who count every ounce.
