Description
ACU1706PGN: Predator ATZ-1706P-GN - Green G10
ArtisanCutlery

The ArtisanCutlery Predator is a beefy, full-size flipper. The handle is comfortable in the hand, while the oversized choil allows for a comfortable forward grip. The blade is 3.75" and crafted from D2 tool steel. This air-hardened, semi-stainless tool steel is more corrosion resistant than other high carbon steels due to its high chromium content and offers a good mix of toughness, wear resistance, and edge holding ability. The handles are made from textured green G10 scales over stainless steel liners and include a stainless steel pocket clip set up for right or left-hand tip-up carry. It also features a Phillips head bit at the end of the handle for added versatility.

cuenched hot metal blades -r- stronger than air hardened one"s !!!
got my new camo predator today , mon. 6-11-2018 . came in a nice box , and they give you a carry bag with pull strings to keep it dust - free ? when ordered , I remarked , I'm excited ! well all that came crashing down this after-noon well testing the air cooled predator . I grabbed a 1 x 6 '' pine board , and of coarse the predator knife , I put board on the grass out-side , while standing , over board , I threw knife down into board , it stuck in . but the lock - failed . so I tried again , knife kept sticking into the board , lock now holding tight , on the ( 9 ) th/ ninth , throw , the knife's tip broke off !!! what a bummer I thought .., got out the big magnet to try and find piece ? no - luck ... I only spent a few minuets looking for it . well I thought there went a fifty - dollar bill . I have tested other knives from the east , same test , and even more tests like stabbing a metal box fan that out by trash , garbage won't take . so the fan be-came test material . most knives survive , the cheaper one's mostly . strange ??? well I grinded a tip on blade , cooled in used motor-oil , 5w20 . I went back to board on grass , threw knife (40) - times , new knife tip has not broke , but is shorter , of coarse ! did note out of (40) throws , lock failed two more times ... I had to do one more test . a big (40 - 50 ) gallon heavy duty plastic re-cycling barrel , knife tip penetrated many times , new tip still not breaking !!! my grinding skills are improving . and my predator is back - up and running I'm HAPPY ONCE AGAIN !!! and my knife is now different , it's been customized ... if you buy this knife , you may end up grinding... ? other note I made right away after open , is when blade was closed , tip was not centered in handle ! after modifications , it is now dead center ... and I truly have a one of a - kind knife ... no hard feelings , ARTISAN CUTLERY , USE OIL OR SOME OTHER LIQUID !!! PLEASE ... AND SEND ME KNIVE'S , I'LL TEST FOR YOU - FREE OF CHARGE !!! over and out ...
