A great folder kinfe with a very beautifull look
I have a small collection of traditional folding knives for EDC and fixed blade for coocking. I'm very satisfied of all of them because I chose them carefully among French, German and Swiss knives. But having high quality Japanese knives has always been a dream. It became to come true with this Al Mar Eagle classic that I took with bone handles, and I do not regret my purchase at all. It is really beautifull and it has been handcrafted with much care and precision. It is so muhc well made that the noise made by the front lock when you deploy the blade is fantastic. The fact that the spring of the lock is near the axis makes it very easy to use (no need to turn the blade to close it).No comment on the bade that is perfect in size and shape. The weight and the position of the center of gravity give you the feeling of having a great knife in your hand. But I can understand that some people with large hands may find the handle too thin. Yes it's thin, but it is a good point if you want to put such a long knife in your pocket.I only have it since a few days, but I'm quite shure that it will be near me for a long time.I think that it has its place on the podium of my 3 best knives.

Good size/Good choice for 'urban' use
The biggest and most civilized Al Mar, in this configuration is finaly the good choice.Used in restaurant, where its looks don't panic evrybody, it is powerfull enough to follow you in the 'wild' for week-ends. Better finishes than anything you'll buy in this price tag, elegant blade and age beautifully.Mine have been engraved furtherly and had replaced , as a companion, many of my regionals / customs knives. You won't regret your purchase.
