Description
AO2MTITANNF: Mini Titan Begleri, Nightfall
Aroundsquare AO2

The same ultra-comfy bead design as the classic Titans, the same top quality grade five titanium, the same precision machine work. All this, in a smaller, lighter, nimbler package.

The Titan begleri from Aroundsquare are dome topped, with a rounded bottom, and a straight, knurled barrel for excellent control and extremely smooth play. The Mini Titans feature the same design, shrunk down to a 16 mm diameter (compared to the original 19 mm for the titanium Titans, and 20 mm for the aluminum version). The beads weigh in at around 9.7 g each (compared to around 17 g for the originals). With this bead design, the weight is enough to make them feel solid and substantial, but without any stress or strain on the fingers, even after hours of play.

The Mini Titans feature a slightly larger bore diameter than the originals, and slightly smaller than most of the 550-compatible sets we sell. This "Goldilocks" bore is not too big and not too small. It works well with 275 paracord and does not feel sloppy, but it also works extremely well with 550 paracord. Your provided 550 cord is cleanly cut with a melted tip, it should be possible to insert the 550 without any special tools or setup, and a minimum amount of fiddling. Each set is pre-strung on a strand of 550 paracord, and is packaged with some spare 275 AND 550 in the box. The sets also come with a fistful of stickers and a canvas carry bag.

About the PVD Coating

Titanium can be anodized like aluminum, but the range of colors is limited, and the anodized finish is similar in durability to that of anodized aluminum. Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating is a process that creates a much more robust coloring. In addition, because titanium is much harder than aluminum, scratches, and nicks are less likely to show up. In general, the PVD coatings "age" more gracefully than anodized aluminum.

Aroundsquare works to identify and use the best available materials and processes, but all colors are prone to wear after extended use and drops. Players literally beat these beads against each other for hours each day. The colorings are not painted on, and do not "chip", but they are very thin and will show scratches and nicks over time, especially if dropped on rough surfaces like concrete.

Colors may not be exactly as shown and look different in different lighting. There may be slight blemishes, and some are lighter or darker than others. They've manually pulled out any significant flaws in their quality control process but didn't concern themselves with minor discolorations, because once they are out of the box you're going to be hammering them and dropping them. Right?
