Excellent knife it exceeded my expectations!
My grandkids got me this knife as a retirement gift 8 months ago. I don't like to review a knife until I've had it and used it for awhile. It is a small knife but cuts and handles like a much larger blade. The fit and finish were superb and the convex grind was very sharp out of the box.The ergonomics fit me very well and I have average size hands. The knife is very stout for its size, .156 blade thickness, 3" blade of A2 steel. I am a BIG fan of A2,. It is very tough, keeps a great edge and is easy to sharpen. I use an Edgepro and green loaded strop, gets very sharp. I keep my knives working sharp not shaving sharp as I don't shave with them, I whittle, cut flesh, camp chores, etc. One important thing, A2 is a high carbon steel and will rust if not properly cared for. The sheath is 1st class but needs to be protected in the rain. Bark River has one of the BEST warranties in the business, if you mess it up, mail it in for a "spa treatment", no questions asked, even abuse. This is a perfect little knife for hiking, as a backup even kitchen chores just clean and dry it, do not leave it overnight after cutting meat or veggies. As usual KC provided GREAT service and took good care of my wife and grandkids, thank you.!
