Bark River Knives
Bark River specializes in cutting tools for outdoorsmen and others who need real performance in the field. They use a blend of traditional/contemporary designs and styles to get a product that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also ultra-functional.
The Bravo 1 was specifically designed with the folks at the Southern Training Center of the Force Recon units of the US Marine Corps. The initial contract was back in 2006 and Bark River began delivery in 2007 of the Bravo 1 and they are still in heavy demand from professionals both in the military and private contractors. They are also used by many of private citizens as their "go-to" knife for heavy outdoor use.
The Bravo 1 is a mid-sized fixed blade that is unobtrusive in carry yet very handy in the field. Boasting a versatile 4.25" straight back blade, the Bravo makes chopping and slicing easy work. The comfortable handle is tough enough to handle any sort of cutting situation. The Bravo 1 comes with a leather belt sheath and a lanyard hole for different carrying methods and is proudly made in the USA.
The Field Model does not have the ramp like the standard model and Bark River has added a row of traction grooves to the spine. The sheath is actually the very same as the standard sheath for the Bravo 1 but it is lengthened for the longer blade and has solid rivet reinforcement at the mouth.

A tougher steel than S30V, it retains the excellent corrosive properties and ability to take an edge, but improves on the ability to hold that edge.
