Bark River Knives
Bark River specializes in cutting tools for outdoorsmen and others who need real performance in the field. They use a blend of traditional/contemporary designs and styles to get a product that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also ultra-functional.
The 2016 Bark River Canoe is very unique. The original canoe knife was made from 1903 to 1922 by Marbles. In the Marbles line, it was replaced with a shorter blade version of their ideal. Their good friend Jim Nowka came up with the concept that it could be made full tang. The original was hidden stick tang. This also gave them the opportunity to address the handle length. The original had a very short handle and was the only complaint folks back in the early days had with the knife. The 2016 Canoe is a historical pattern that has now been improved for efficient use today. This version is light, fast in hand, and razor sharp. It will give you a lifetime of service is supplied with the Fox River leather sheath.
