The Proper is an unassuming, medium-sized gentleman's slipjoint folding pocketknife from Benchmade Knives. This knife does not lock so it is legal almost anywhere. It has a perfectly strong backspring making the opening and closing easy and solid. The Benchmade Proper pocketknife features a comfortably contoured, Green Micarta handle with a nice thin profile and an almost Sheepsfoot shaped blade of top quality S30V stainless steel. This is a beautiful pocket knife with time-tested mechanisms and a classic design that makes it a knife to have with you at all times. No pocket clip on this one - it's meant for your pocket.

Exactly what I was looking for.

Props to Josh for labeling it as a camping tool, thank you for looking out. Got here quick for shipping to Guam. Was looking for a slip joint in prep for Germany’s strict knife laws. Very happy with the outcome and look forward to this being my EDC.

Perfect EDC Slipjoint

I always carry a slipjoint as part of my EDC, in addition to a larger knife or by itself. This is the perfect choice. The steel is great, and the micarta scales have the perfect texture. They darken nicely as you use the knife. There are many secondhand options for scale customization, but you all know the risks of disassembling your knives. If you do, this one can be a bit tricky. Overall, a great slipjoint option that's well worth your consideration.
