Contego Folding Knife CMP-M4
Everyone Stop complaining about the rough G10 handle !!! This is an Excellent Rough surface to prevent the knife from slipping out of your Hand !!!! The Blade steel that holds an EDGE, M4. For EDC utility use,This handle size allows strong for gripping(For Real Cutting Use) this is not a letter opener !!!, I highly recommend this folder. My 1st blade W/Cerakote Hope it stays on !!! Glass Break Carbide point, Kids or Dog Dying in hot car fast rescue,Yeah !!! campfire, dinner table conversation piece, after introducing this Tactical Looking Bastard then everyone wants to touch it, feel it, just make sure to get it back, LOL !!! Ease of carry? Yes ! Rough G10 surface and grip ergonomics allow for rapid deployment from pocket, (must practice during T.V. commercials). will add 2nd pocket clip to other side for ambidexious handling of rapid blade opening, the pocket clip (edge) provides for pinky and ring finger to firmly pull/press base of handle against palm. When you hold/feel this Knife in your hand, you know it is of Quality design and materials ...............................

Contego, Mother of all Tactical Knives
Ive had this knife for a while now and its become my EDC blade, Ive used it twice in emergency situations and it has yet to let me down, The first time a guy tried to mug/carjack me, even though I broke the golden rule about not carrying change and a knife in the same pocket, and a penny jammed the blade closed it still served as a nice impact device, and all it took was one hit to put the guy down. Last weekend I spent the weekend in the Cascades in Washington camping, It was very cold around 20F. I had just finished setting up camp and I started to process wood for a fire, I was using a saw to cut deadfall trees into smaller logs and I was using a large fixed blade that I just bought (that shall remain nameless) to split the wood. I had just enough to start a fire when my fixed blade snapped off at the handle, the sub freezing temps and the very dense wood just proved too much. I should have brought my CS Recon Scout that I normally carry but since it was so cold and I had a long hike I decided to lose the extra pound and left it in the car. I did have my Kershaw skyline Fixed blade but its too small for splitting anything useful. So my only option was the Contego It was getting dark, It would have taken me 3 hours to go back to the car and that wasnt an option, the hike was difficult and treacherous in the day and suicide at night, So I made some wedges and got to work, and the Contego along with the wedges worked great, I processed the rest of the deadfall tree I cut up and had enough wood to keep the fire burning all night and well into the morning. Obviously splitting wood is asking alot of a folder, and even though the blade came out worse for wear with a lot of lock wear and slight deformation the knife performed great. The blade has some play in it now but its still 100% usable and in no way compromised by the hard use. I would have been in trouble out there if I didnt have my Contego.

Tough,Durable and Extremely Rock Solid lock Up.
I use the CONTEGO as my primary EDC knife.Very solid build, M4 steel,Ceracoat finish,Glass breaker, comfortable and non slip grip. Precision built with zero blade play and rock solid lock up. This knife is close to perfection IMO.
