Boker Plus Roundhouse Flipper Knife 3.75" D2 Satin Blade, Carbon Fiber Handles - 01BO617
BO01BO617: Boker Plus Roundhouse
The Boker Plus Roundhouse is perfect as a tactical folder and as an elegant full-size everyday knife. The slightly sloping handle back and lightly curved blade lend the Roundhouse dynamic lines and an excellent grip. The lightly textured carbon fiber scales and contrasting bolster of the blade shaft give the Roundhouse its sophisticated look. The satin finish D2 blade has ball bearings, a flipper and a liner lock. With a removable pocket clip (tip-up/right carry). This impressive model was designed by Canadian designer Lorien Arnold and American knife maker Bruce Bingenheimer, who unfortunately passed away unexpectedly in March 2018. Of course, his share of the proceeds will benefit his family.
D2 Tool Steel
With a chromium content of 12%, D2 — a tool steel — can certainly be classified as a stainless steel. Since its chromium content is right on the threshold, however, a little more care for the D2 wouldn't go amiss. As an upper-tier conventional steel, D2 offers great edge retention and stability, though sharpening it takes a little effort.
