BO01BO802: Boker Plus Tech-Tool City 2, Black
Boker Plus

With the Boker Camp Knife, one of the forefathers of all modern multipurpose pocket knives, Boker's history began in the year 1869. After almost 150 years of successful market presence, the time came to convert this proven concept into a modern knife. Using modernized construction the solid steel liners are embedded in two contoured handle scales, made out of rugged G-10, which combines grip with excellent ergonomics. The Swedish Sandvik 12C27 steel, with a Rockwell hardness of 58-60 HRC, provides outstanding edge retention of the hollow ground blade. The essential tools - glass breaker, screwdriver, corkscrew, etc., provide the solution for any task, while additional features such as the reversible pocketclip, foldable lanyard hole or glass breaker tip show the elaborate engineering of these pocket knives. The high quality manufacturing, with a smooth blade action and optimized operability are proof of the premium quality of Boker Plus Tech Tools.

Good Multi-tool
This knife has made it into my regular rotation of EDC knives. Sometimes I carry just a knife but other times I like carrying a Swiss Army Knife or similar. This Boker Plus Tech-Tool has excellent build quality and the blade steel is good, just like any other Swedish steel knife. The tools are solid and function well. As a comparison in size, this is the same size overall as my Case Sodbuster Jr. with the clip removed. The blade thickness is the same if not slightly thicker than the Sod Buster Jr. but with the Boker you get additional tools in the same size package and better finish quality. I like the blade geometry of the Boker more than the SBJ. What drew me to getting this knife and future models of this knife is that it has a pocket clip and its reversible for tip up or tip down carry; it works well too. The G10 handles are sleek looking and privide a good grip. The glass breaker is a plus but I haven't had a chance to try that out. All of the tools snap open and closed well but not as defined as a SAK. The only minor issue I have with this model is the point of the lanyard sticks up a little and depending on how you are using/holding the knife it will dig into your finger that is directly over it. It can be fixed as in filed down but it doesn't bother me that much. I would also like to see this same model with a Phillips head driver instead of the cork screw. I don't want the larger models just to get this feature. I plan on getting the single blade version in all handle colors because these are so nice.
