BO111920: Junior Scout Thuya

The Boker Scout has been a constant in their catalog for more than 30 years. For most of that time, the knife was literally "constant," because fans had to wait until 2015 for the Boy Scout, an elegant gentleman's and pocket version of the classic. The Junior Scout - a size between the Scout and Boy Scout - now bridges the gap between the two versions and offers a slim line profile and a 2.75" blade for a little more "substance" than the Boy Scout, but still significantly more ease and comfort than the classic Scout. The design resembles that of its siblings and has a CNC-milled nickel silver body and Bohler N690 blade. The Junior Scout is a handy, yet stable everyday knife that combines classic design, elegance and function in a virtually inimitable way.

N690 Stainless Steel

The cobalt-alloyed N690 by Bohler (not to be confused with the lower-grade N695!) is a very reliable upper middle-grade steel Boker uses in their Solingen, Germany factory for a wide variety of projects. The fine-grained N690, which ranks above 440C, offers convincing performance data in all areas. It is often sold as N690Co – the "Co" stands for cobalt and describes the exact same steel.
