BRBTI2SHYLOCKS: Custom Borka Patterned Folding Knife with Swedge
This knife is offensively called the Shylock and is a collaboration between Sebastijan Berenji, AKA Borka, and Mike Bond of Bond Knives who is also the head honcho at Ti2 Design. We will assume they are ignorant that the name is offensive to many people and we will market it as they have it labeled but the Knifecenter of the Internet will not order it again. It's a behemoth of a knife and awe-inspiring from tip to clip. What is readily apparent is that Borka ground this blade while Mike manufactured the handle. The blade is made from CPM-154 stainless steel and it's much more of a middle finger flicker than anything else. The detent is quite strong which makes for some seriously satisfying action but it just feels weird to us to use our thumb (even though you most certainly can). The Borka signature patterning on the blade is the highlight, though you do get 3.5" of hollow ground, razor sharp cutting edge at your fingertips and a beautifully ground top swedge. The handle is made from 3D machined titanium with an ergonomic shape and easily manipulated lock. All the fittings on this knife excluding the pivot are made from titanium for maximum quality assurance and you have a completely hidden blade stop. There isn't much you cannot get done with this knife, it's one of the highlights of the 2017 BLADE Show and was handmade in the USA.
