Description
BRSBBTV2: Barebones Tanto V2
Bladerunners Systems

The Barebones Tanto features an appealing blade grind and still retains its original sleek design taking similar form and dimensions as its predecessors (Alpha Beast and Replicant), but fuses its own unique attributes to make it a one of a kind knife.

The all-stainless-steel framed handles are skeletonized to maintain optimum balance and reduce weight. You will find that the Barebones Tanto is a very neutral handling balisong. It can be flipped fast or slow and really can adapt to a variety of manipulation styles. Unlike other steel balisongs, the Barebones Tanto is not overburdened with excess weight and comes in at just over five ounces and remains nimble in hand. Coupled with extended handle dimensions the weight is very well distributed.

The Barebones Tanto V2 does not cut corners on blade steel. BRS retained a heat-treated 154CM stainless steel blade to provide a lifetime of flipping performance and reliability. The blade also features a crowned spine for additional comfort and handling. The hardware is all stainless steel, including the latch.

Whether you are just starting out as a flipper and new to balisongs or a long-time veteran of the sport, you will find Barebones Tanto V2 to be an optimum performer. Like all BRS products, the Barebones is battle-ready out of the box and has performance at the forefront of design!

Cons: Sheath, Lock Ease of Use, None
Simple. Sleek. Silent. Deadly.
An awesome knife to behold and to flip about!I got it exactly three days after I ordered it from here. It looks beautifully deadly, does NOT have PIVOT pins (tang pins?) In the center of the blade, which is great. Unlike my Bear & Sons B-ALBD-400-B Raindrops, this knife pivots off of the pins in the handle. It is an EDC, but I like to flip it and freestyle. One has to be careful because these can be a little trickier to master as they are different from other handle styles. It has smooth action, feels quite balanced, is deadly sharp and I will NOT FLIP it standing on concrete. I will be crushed if I break this one or bend the tip. Definitely worth the money. There is no paint that chips off, no extra zen/tang/pivot pins to waste time on---just the necessities that are beautifully executed and a flawless design that keeps you from replacing extra pins/panels/etc. Definitely a futuristic balisong!

AMAZING flipper lives up to hype
This flipper/EDC (though I would be loathe to take this to a construction/concrete job, flip it and drop it on the floor and DENT or bend the blade) is AMAZING. It is the most I have ever spent on a GREAT knife. Resembles the ALPHA BEAST, slightly, but this is a very well-built knife worth every penny and is sharp as a razor, but spins great right out of the box. I have been waiting for half a year to get one--as availability of these knives is very low. So, when I saw it, I spent all my piggy bank funds---worth it. You tried all the $20, $50 and $120 butterfly knives---now on to the Lamborghini of Knives! Thank you, KnifeCenter!!! It came approximately 3 days after you said it would.
