Woah … Baby
Never been disappointed by a Buck and this is no exception. I got it to split wood/baton and it is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I plan to use it in the backyard when I get too tired for the splitting axe or need to make fine splits after a rainstorm before getting a fire going.I love the red coating and long wooden handle. It is very cool. Novel. I love that it has no point, no tactical look about it. That is not what I got it for. It's a fabulous wood processor. Buy once. Cry once. It makes batoning with other knives easy to forget how much more difficult it can be.

Buck Froe
I took it out to clear my trail I use for teaching Hunter Safety Classes land navigation. It handles much better than the machete I used previously for that task. It has adequate heft but the length is much more manageable. It handles limbs that would normally take a hatchet to deal with. The sheath is handy and accessible and it caries nicely on a belt with a karabiner to attach to the ring on the scabbard like sheath.

excellent tool
This is an authentic tool. Very comfortable in use. I use it for yard work. Camp tool brush clean up etc. My only two complaints are the sheath is left handed... And the finish fit of the handle is off. If you want a tool, and a dependable heavy knife get it. For the price the initial impressions are wow! Highly recommend.
