BU0110BRSA: 110 Folding Hunter AUTO

Buck Knives

Buck's Folding Hunter was created in 1963 when Al Buck decided that a revolutionary folding locking knife was needed by outdoorsmen who wanted a sturdy knife but did not want to carry a long fixed blade knife. He was right and the result proved to be the key to the company’s future.

One of America’s best-selling knives is now available as an automatic! The 110 Auto is easily deployed with the push of a button, readying the 420HC blade quickly and efficiently. Featuring the same classic Ebony wood handles and brass bolsters, the 110 Auto will easily become a collectible for avid 110 fans.

As originally introduced in the 1960s the 110 once again features a genuine ebony hardwood handle. This ethically sourced Crelicam ebony supports replanting efforts in the Congo Basin rainforest, while providing Buck Knives with a genuine hardwood handle that is nearly indestructible.

*Please note: When Buck makes handles out of natural products, you will find nature's own "brandmarks." In most cases, these markings are not flaws, rather nature's own design. Colors and markings will vary from handle to handle. Each one will have its own personality and distinctive look unlike handles created from man-made materials.*

420HC STEEL

420HC is Buck's standard blade material because it approaches the wear resistance of high carbon alloys while delivering the corrosion resistance of chromium stainless steels. Add Buck's exclusive heat-treat process and you have a very user-friendly combination of superior corrosion resistance with excellent strength for wear resistance and durability. You also have a blade that is easy to resharpen. For best performance Buck hardens to a Rockwell hardness of 58-60HRC.

Clip Point Blade

The crescent tip of a clip point blade makes the blade thinner with a sharper point. This shape provides good control for detail work and cutting in tight places. It is also well suited for intentional punctures like new holes in your belt, etc. While the point of the blade is effective for detail work, it's not as strong as the thicker points on drop points and skinners.

Taking a century’s worth of knife craftsmanship to an unprecedented level, Buck’s Pro Level knives are designed and crafted to be used in the most demanding situations. Premium materials and revolutionary designs are combined with the highest quality American craftsmanship. The result is a superior knife that discerning users can rely on in any situation. Designed and hand-crafted in the USA.

I LOVE THIS KNIFE!
I love this knife. So cool to press a button. Sheath is great. It is absolutely beautiful too. I whip it out here and there and everyone takes a look. But I use this regularly too. Great product. I have a lot of knifes including vintage Bucks and vintage Schrades and vintage Camillus but this may just be my favorite. I hope you enjoy it as well. Thanks Buck.

Really a 5 star, but giving it 4 because of one minor issue ...
I have always loved these knives ever since my dad gave me one for 40 years ago. An old 110, that I was probably too young to be responsible with, still I still have the scar. Still love you dad. You did nothing wrong! ;-) RIP.I always kept the one my dad gave me, and still have it. Ground down tip from when I broke it. Still works fine and still has a home in my fishing tackle box. I knew people were modding them as autos and when I found out Buck introduced a factory auto I bought two from Knifecenter a year ago. One for me, and one for my 15 year old son.Beautiful knives, razor sharp. Handles are ebony wood, so nice! Only problem was, the speed of deployment. Mine was so slow it would only open if pointed down, otherwise it would stall. My son's was ok, but still very slow. This is why I docked it 1 point to a 4/5. Just one point because ...It's not a real issue with the knife itself. I was really pissed off at first and then I thought "maybe it just needs a good cleaning" ... Took each knife - - Scrubbed out action with hot soapy water with a toothbrush- Rinsed and blew it dry with compressed air- Hosed it out again with WD-40- Blew it out again with compressed air- Wiped and put a small drop of machine oil in the actionMan! These things run great now! Both give a nice solid snap. Very fast and reliable.Hey Buck! Clean your damn knives before you ship em!!
