BU0286CMS26: 286 Bantam BHW, Kryptek Highlander
Buck Knives

To meet the need for a lightweight, safe and affordable knife, the Bantams were developed. Quality and durability were the main goals, as was reliability. The lockback mechanism adds the necessary safety features, and the various camo patterns give them added use in the field, or simply look good for daily carry. Originally produced in China, Buck brought the Bantams to their Post Falls facility for USA production in 2009. Offered in multiple variations, the Bantam has been a best seller from the beginning.

Buck's sleek series of lightweight mid-lockbacks features a host of convenient, easy to use enhancements. From the tip of the blade, through the wide sloping edge, these knives are ready to meet the ever expanding everyday demands. The lightweight ETP handle offers a firm, well-balanced grip. Thumb studs on both sides of the blade provide easy, one hand opening, while the mid-lockback location makes for a smooth closing.

Pros: Pocket Clip, Weight, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Ease of Opening, None
Great Value EDC
So, I actually rated this knife a 5 as 4.5 was not an option. Look, if you were expecting ZT level quality from a $24 knife then you are being extremely unrealistic. That said, this is a great quality budget folder that actually takes a very fine edge with minimal time spent on the stone. I hope Buck chooses to offer a "Pro," or higher quality version of the Bantam in the future as the design is very nice. S30V, D2 or S35VN with high grade aluminum or even titanium handles would be a very attractive upgraded material platform for a future version.

Cons: Ease of Opening, None
Great knife
A really nice, big knife. The handle is super light. The only issue is the blade opening is too stiff. Will take some time to "loosen" it up.
