S30V is a premium steel with supreme combination of edge retention, ductility, hardness, toughness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance. For optimal performance, it's hardened to a standard Rc 59-61.

Screws on handle popped off w/i 1 month of wearing on belt
Two of the three bolts holding the handle together popped off within the first month of wearing it on my belt around the house/yard.
