Micarta Handles
Micarta Handles Micarta is a compressed layered composite sealed within a thermosetting plastic which creates a strong, attractive material that is impervious to water.
Leather Sheath
Leather Sheath Leather is known for its durability and traditional appeal. When compared to Kydex it is preferred for its silence when bumped against other objects, as well as blade retention.
1095 Carbon Steel
1095 Carbon Steel An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for its extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel (it will rust) and most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.

Nice, but Needs work
I’ve used it for about a year now for camping. Preping wood for my wood burning stove, mostly. Its a nice knife, but i did some “fixes” that was necessary. First the angle of the bevel was too steep. So i had to grind a narrower, true scandi bevel on it. That took some time to do on the wet stone... but well worth it. Second, i smoothed out the edges on the handle. That was easy to do with a file. Now it feels great in the hand. The sheath is great, i think. Its gotten wet before, but no issues yet. I like the way it covers all the way to the handle, as a proper bushcrafting knives should do. The blade is high carbon, so you do need to keep it dry with some oil. But if you do forget, you can clean it up easily with the milky stuff thats on the whet stone, when you sharpen. Great knife... but with some work.

Sharp and stout
Perfect lil bush knife. Handle is a bit blocky tho. Blade is shaving sharp and the geometry of it is perfect for camp tasks

Nice knife
This is a well balanced, sturdy knife with a comfortable handle. I have small hands and wanted a knife with certain specifications. It had to be full tang, high carbon steel with a 90 degree spine for throwing sparks and a shorter blade. I'm using this knife for heavier bushcrafting tasks and needed one small enough to handle and yet sturdy enough to take a beating. This knife fits the bill. I do have a couple complaints, though. First off, only the forward half of the blade had any sharpness to it. The rest was very dull. Also, I know many people like the leather sheath, but I don't. It's one more thing to care for and maintain and can disintegrate quickly in wet or humid environments. I would prefer something synthetic. Lastly, the literature it came with said not to store it in the sheath. I'm assuming that is because it is carbon and can rust. If I keep it in my BOB when not in use, it would be nice to store it in the sheath. Would oiling it and storing it in the sheath work?
