Description
CN280559: Scalper Knife
Condor Tool & Knife

Inspired by frontier trade knives, the Condor Scalper is not to be trifled with. Whether counting coup against your enemies or surviving the wilderness, this knife will carry you through. Large game... woodworking... even food prep doesn't stand a chance against this historic design.

The Scalper Knife features a 5.875" blade of 1075 high carbon steel. The thin blade stock and full flat grind make it an exceptional cutter, with plenty of belly for long slicing cuts. Walnut wood handles provide a classic look while delivering durable, lasting performance. In a nod to modern knife usage, a lanyard hole has been added to this otherwise period-appropriate knife. The included sheath is made from high quality, heavy duty, tooled leather.

Excellent knife and excellent service!
This knife is just what it's advertised to be. It's a great outdoor knife for camping, hunting and skinning. Came very sharp and after I touched it up a bit it took a razor sharp edge. The sheath is very stiff and the knife is difficult to get in and out at first. That's a good thing as leather stretches over time. A little application of Ballistol lubricant to the leather to soften it up and some breaking in by sliding the knife in and out of the sheath and it fits just fine. This is a thin bladed knife which to me is a welcome change from my 1/4" monsters. I ordered this knife on a Friday from KnifeCenter.com and it was here on Monday. The customer service was very friendly and helpful and the knife shipped the same day. Overall great experience and I will definitely be ordering from KnifeCenter.com again. Highly recommended!

Great, but only if you like thin blades.
If you like thick knives you won't like this. But if you like thin knives then this is a great blade. It's meant to be pared with a tomahawk/hatchet/big knife. The blade is completely uncoated, I like that but some may not. The entire edge is curved making it a monster slicer and it's got the classic condor edge (no scandi). The blade is quite stiff for its thinness but has some flex to it. Awesome sheath but needs to be broke-in before use. Its got even bevels and a good angle but needs to be sharpened. To me it seems slightly overpriced for a condor; no coating, simple grind/edge and grip with thin stock and a 6" blade ($40 to $50 range would be a homerun), which is unfortunate because I really like thin knives and want more on the market but I want to be honest.
