Condor Tool & Knife CTK424-12.3HC Crocodilian Machete 12-3/8" Carbon Steel Blade, Pardcord Wrapped Handle, Leather Sheath
CN424123HC: Crocodilian Machete
Condor Tool & Knife
The Crocodilian machete from Condor is thick, tough, somewhat heavy and a little crude and we like it at the Knife Center very much. It is made from a single sheet of carbon steel which is folded around to form the oval handle which is then wrapped with para cord. It is one tough machete. The blade has a rough, convex edge and this machete is really ready to do some work. It's the kind of tool that you feel like beating the heck out of with some really rough chores- chopping limbs, grasses, rope or whatever and then putting on a wheel or using a file to resharpen. The shape is nicely weighted towards the end to allow for effective chops. A beautiful leather sheath is included that is very well made. The leather is thick, smooth and dyed black and has a swiveling belt loop. All in all, this is a great tool and the price is absolutely right!

Leather is known for its durability and traditional appeal. When compared to Kydex it is preferred for its silence when bumped against other objects, as well as blade retention.
