Description
CN703245: Tarpon Knife
Condor Knife & Tool

The Tarpon knife features a 420HC (High Carbon) surgical quality stainless steel. Every edge is hand finished and polished to a razor sharpness. The blasted satin finish is achieved by sand or bead blasting the exposed metal portion of the blade. The skeletonized steel handle gives this fixed blade a unique look and feel, while keeping the weight in check. In addition to holding the knife, the Kydex sheath also has a paracord lanyard so this knife can be carried around the neck.

Cons: Finish
Handy tool.
This is a good little fishing knife, the bottle opener on the hilt is just what the doctor ordered. The sheath is imo very innovative, the main part is a kydex type shell which can be used ambidextrously which fits into a webbing belt mount again can be used ambidextrously. I wrapped the handle with delaminated 550 para cord.Over all a good buy needed sharpening. Lives in my tackle box, have used it in the kitchen nice slicer.

COndor Tarpon
I just purchased the Tarpon knife. The factory edge grind was terrible. My knife's grind was uneven and not really sharp at all. It took quite a bit of work with my Lansky sharpener and a course stone to get an angle established. Having said that lets keep in mind that this is an inexpensive knife. Now that I have sharpened it I like the feel and light weight of this knife. I have used this to clean and prep several fish and it works pretty well. Edge retention is okay, I'd say at lease equal to my old Rapala . The sheath is nice and provides numerous carry options. With no handle to worry about clean-up is a snap. If I'm at home I just throw it in the dish washer. Considering the price this is a pretty good knife especially if you are size and weight conscious.
