CR1210: Lucas Burnley 1210 Strafe
CRKT

Stealth like a ninja, power like a .50 cal.

The Strafe tactical fixed blade is born of both an admiration for sleek Japanese design and a fascination with U.S. military combat technique. The angular, rakish blade mirrors a classic tanto shape, and the slight design makes this knife swift in motion, and an extremely lightweight to carry. The field is full of unsuspected variables; the Strafe is built to address every last one.

Lucas Burnley to Albuquerque, New Mexico built the Strafe to be the ultimate modern field knife with traditional, classic undertones. It's first and foremost a field utility knife, but it'll always be there to run sweep.

The lean angular blade is rooted in its Japanese tanto heritage and is finished with a sleek stonewash finish. When matched with diamond cross section grip and shadow boxed scales, it looks like a relic fit for a display case, but this powerful, capable beast doesn't belong in a cage. The tough polypropylene sheath features a j-hook accessory so it remains poised and at the ready at all times.

In a combat situation, every second counts. The sleek, swift Strafe eats milliseconds for breakfast.

Knife is great. Sheath not so great.
I will say first that the knife is great. Give it 5 stars. But the sheath, aside from retaining the knife well, does not lend itself to any sort of carry option. I removed the J-hook. At least now I can stick the knife/sheath in my pocket safely. But now I would have to pull it from the pocket and use two hands to remove the knife. Well, at least the knife won't rip my pocket. About all the sheath is good for is protecting the knife blade. I suppose I'll look for an aftermarket sheath. There are a lot of them out there. I'e done it before with some other knives. Get the knife for the knife and forget the sheath. The knife is worth having even if you decide to keep it in the car in a handy place. One thing is sure. If you stick it in your side pocket you can always grab it and jab with the sheath on before removing the knife for a second strike. Then you'll have a weapon in each hand because the sheath is strong.

Great Knife-- Who Cares About the Sheth
I bought other friend wil this (and two others (one of which I've given to a friend; another friend will get the other) to keep in a hiking/survival pack. That's why I don't really care about the wearability of the sheath. This is an equivalent of a buyout knife; it'll be there if I need it for any use (self-defense, battening, using on a fire steel; food prep. . . . ) My original model came with a strong, sharp blade. I like that it's stainless-- it'll be safe for food prep, without my having to add toxic chemicals to keep a carbon steel blade from rusting.Thank you again Knife Center-- I bought one a couple of months ago; they're still on sale, so I bought two more. Great oviduct; great price and great service.

Probably from China, but nice knife; grab one while you can
Just got this, and have not used it, but seems rugged (and long-bladed enough) to baton wood. It arrived razor sharp. I like the steel, the blade thickness, and even the sheath (except it has no provision to wear on the belt). Knife retention in the sheath seems good; I might get a tech. lock for the sheath.I was pleasantly surprised at the overall fit and finish. It feels fast to use, though I didn't buy it for self-defense. Blade thickness is also a plus.Thank you Knife Center for the great price and terrific service.
