The Wasp folding knife is a bargain of a knife that opens fast, locks solid and works like an ox. This Howard Viele custom design combines collectible artistry with full work knife functionality. A great entry from the quality knife people at Columbia River, this is a classy folder. The liner locking system (a metal sheet within the handle) flexes to keep the drop point blade open. Thumb stud is inlaid with a rubber tip for additional purchase. The handle is solid stainless steel with a blue and black G10 piece on each side for comfort. The slender low-profile pocket clip and 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade are identified, of course, by Viele's trademark triple blade holes. It's a remarkably personal knife, suitable to collect, yet affordable enough to carry daily.
