CR9095: 9095 Get-a-Way Driver Torx
CRKT

How much function can you pack in a compact little carabiner tool? Launce Barber and Tom Stokes designed the patent-pending Get-A-Way Driver Torx as part of our innovative I.D. Works line of tools, and it has is exceptionally useful for the craftsman who works in the Torx fastener environment.

It is also the ideal CRKT knife maintenance kit for tightening screws and clip removal.

As a compact torx screwdriver, it comes with four standard Torx sizes, T5, T6, T8 and T10. Each of the torx bits has a spring-loaded ball detent to keep it in the holder, and a fingernail groove to aid bit removal.

You can also use it as an angle driver when the going gets tough by moving the bit adapter to the torx driver wrench.

Just push the button and it's a bright little LED flashlight, especially useful when working in low light.

It also has an oxygen bottle wrench on the underside, which makes it useful for emergency rescue use. There are also 10 mm wrench and hex bit wrench reliefs.

The pry bar on the underside works well to open bottles and jar lids, among other things. It's also removable if you want.

The hex bit driver adapter lets you use all the full-size Torx hex bits with the CRKT Zilla-Tool Jr., too.

Getaway driver torx
Very useful. I have with the screwdriver tips and EDC both now.The only bad... the detent ball bearings that hold the bit “chuck” are not very positive and in fact I routinely find the “chuck” has come out and is loose in my pocket. I fully expect to loose it one of these days.

Not as expected
I expected the hex bits to be the common 1/4" hex style. My intent had been to swap some other bits I use a lot into this tool to customize it for myself. No-go, the bits this tool uses has a captive, spring-loaded ball that holds the it in the tool, and in the working socket, so you can't use a plain bit. Also upon my initial inspection, one of the balls popped out of a bit in my hands! I was able to replace the spring & ball & attempted to peen around it to keep it in the bit. The flashlight, built-in Keychain loop and bottle opener seem useful. I doubt I will carry this tool because of the limited nature of the bits it will carry. I think they were really off-target making a tool that only works with proprietary bits.
