CRK300KXP: K300KXP Hootenanny
The Hootenanny may well be our favorite of all the knives Ken Onion has done for CRKT. It simply has amazing lines, superior flipping action, and comes in at a superb price point.

The Hootenanny is another winning design from the legend Ken Onion, and the price is absolutely fantastic. It features a 3.34" blade made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with a satin finish and hollow ground drop point shape. There is jimping on the handle, choil, and spine of the blade, giving you a tight hold in multiple grip options. The handle is 4.59", made from stainless steel with uniquely milled glass-reinforced nylon scales. It's a frame lock design, using the IKBS bearing system so the action is buttery smooth. This is definitely a folding knife you need to have in your collection.

Ken Onion's latest design gives you the best of both worlds in an everyday carry knife. A classy folder with an IKBS ball bearing pivot system and oversized pivot, it performs well on everyday carry city streets. A drop point blade works hard on duck and catfish. In between, it cleans up well.

The Hootenanny is yet another in a long line of knives created by award-winning knifemaker Ken Onion of Kaneohe, Hawaii. Never at a loss for ideas, Ken designed the blade to be a cross between hunting and bird knives and everyday carry folders. With an exceptional fit and finish it easily and stylishly crosses categories.

The stylish drop point blade tears through tasks while grooves on the spine provide you with detailed finger control. It's the perfect combination of strength with finesse. However this knife really shows off when it comes time to open it. An oversized pivot system looks cool and an IKBS ball bearing system deploys the blade smoothly and effortlessly.

If you're looking for a knife that gives you the best of both worlds in hunting and everyday carry tasks, the Hootenanny is the one to grab. On the lake or on the town, it's ready.

Great edc knife
Excellent knife I use quite often and have to admit it's a nice looking knife but I use everyday and have abused it and it works flawlessly. This is one of my work knives and it handles every thing I dish out to it. It's super smooth bearing and nice handle make it a great reliable knife for anyone and it holds a good edge.

Excellent knife after some fine tuning.
Found the knife too hard to open with the flipper and unlocking was rough. After honing the locking edge and the blade butt it's now working perfectly. Flicks open with no effort and securely locks in place with no blade movement. Unlocking has also significantly improved.I was surprised at the high standard of quality given the low price. Two thumbs up.Highly recommended for every day use.
