Description
CS21TU: 21TU Storm Cloud
Cold Steel

Sometimes you need the performance of a big tactical blade, but don't want to alarm the general populace when you snap it open. With that in mind, Cold Steel developed the Storm Cloud, a strikingly handsome folder featuring a 3.5" American-Made CPM-20CV powdered steel blade. Unlike the Americanized Tanto Cold Steel is known for, the Storm Cloud boasts a modified Tanto that places the point closer to the center of the blade for increased accuracy and penetration when piercing. To complement this exceptional blade, they've crafted a sumptuous G10 handle featuring a silky-smooth overlay of carbon fiber that allows the knife to effortlessly transition from the boardroom or church pew to the field and back again. But please don't mistake this knife for just another pretty face, it's a highly capable thoroughbred!

Weighing in at only 3.6 ounces, it's as light as a cloud and, due to its interchangeable pocket clip, it's fully ambidextrous so it can be easily carried without adding bulk or weight. When it comes time to unleash the Storm Cloud, you can rely on lightning-fast pocket deployment, courtesy of Andrew Demko’s patented Thumb Plate. Safety and reliability come standard with the Storm Cloud, which is outfitted with the Cold Steel Tri-Ad lock, the strongest and safest folding knife lock on the market.

!Very Good!
Very good EDC!!!! The blade is very versatile, very sharp and keeps the sharpness very well. The handle looks very slippery, but he is not even if you have wet hands gives this grip a good grip. The grip is very comfortable in the hand, no pressure points, good volume and the handle is very quickly warm even when it is cold outside.can highly recommend this knife.

New direction for Cold Steel
I’ve been buying Cold Steel Knives since the 90’s. Every folder up until the Storm Cloud has had an extra heavy duty backlock spring and deep lock engagement. Most have had super aggressive G10 and stiff pocket clips. The Storm Cloud is nothing like the past. The knife is light and opens smoothly. Unlocking the knife is a pleasure and doesn’t require you to bottom out the lever 100% to clear the lockbar from the blade. The pocket clip is more like a spring that glide over your pocket material instead of the more normal bar of steel. Finally I would of picked solid G10 or solid carbon fiber for the scales, Cold Steel combined the two and produced a set of good looking smooth yet grippy slabs. The best way to describe this knife would be to call it a gentlemans tactical folder. My only disappointment was the factory 25+° edge, which I quickly remedied on my sharpener.

Needs to be Better
In response to the previous review, you need a second driver to remove the pocket clip or disassemble the knife. That's because of the type of fastener used, which is a long screw with female post.As with the Night Force - also made in Italy - there's a gap between lockbar and scales. It's as though the lockbar is a hair too thin. Doesn't effect function but it looks cheap and the gap with collect lint and dust. The convex ground front edge is done by hand and is not symmetrical unlike on the Spyderco Vallotton or many WE Knives. In short, if Cold Steel wants to sell higher-end knives then they need to be better quality. The Storm Cloud is less consistent than the Voyager line.
