CS22A: 22A Swift I
Cold Steel

Cold Steel is proud to introduce the Swift Series, a sleek, fast and good looking assisted opening knife by custom knife maker Andrew Demko.

Featuring the patent pending Flash-Tek locking mechanism, the Swift Series has the astonishing speed and smoothness of the finest assisted opening knives, but with the unparalleled strength you have come to expect from Cold Steel and Andrew Demko.

The Swift Series is without a doubt the strongest assisted opening knife on the market today. Virtually impervious to shock, it adds a degree of safety hitherto unseen in the assisted knife genre.

Its beautiful, dual-tone blade is manufactured from American XHP Steel and honed to a fine cutting edge. The slim line modified spear point has a pronounced recurve on the spine, which not only reduces the knife's profile when closed but creates a comfortable and functional finger or thumb ramp for detail and precision work.

Unlike other assisted knives on the market with their flat, uncomfortable slab grips, the Swift Series has ergonomic 3D CNC Machined and Bead Blasted American G10 handles that are a joy to hold and easy to use regardless of grip, and with or without gloves.

This incredibly comfortable, lightweight and fast action folder not only changes the game when it comes to assisted knives, but it's a pleasure to carry, and to use!

Rough start but worth it.
When I took this knife out of the box, it was hard to open, and the lock was da** near impossible to unlock. All triad locks are rough out of the box, but this one was super hard to release. My initial experience wasn't unlike some of the worst reviews here, and I considered sending it back, but then I got the bright idea of adding a little oil and that made a huge difference. After working the opening and locking mechanism for two days, it now opens, locks, and unlocks, as easy as any other Cold Steel folder I have (over 40), and it snaps open and locks positively without me having to flick it, and it's no harder to unlock than any other Cold Steel folder. It's now the best assisted opener I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot. Didn't start out that way, but I'm glad I gave it a chance. The secondary lock also works great. Cold Steel must have gotten their QC together, because everything about the fit and finish on my model is excellent. Except for my initial experience, now that it's working the way it's supposed to, I really can't think of anything I don't like about this knife. Highly recommended, provided you're willing to take a little time to wear it in.

Pretty Awesome Assisted Opener
I've read some reviews about the swift not opening or only opening 3/4 of the way. Mine was like this at first but as I used it more it became the best assisted opener I've ever purchased. It's not designed like any other assisted opener so it takes some getting used to. Once you figure it out it's lightning fast, and the lock?...well, It's Tri-Ad, it's quality and I know this knife won't close on my hand or fingers, as other top name brand knives have.
