Cold Steel
If you're planning a big game hunt, a dangerous expedition, or an exciting adventure and want to carry a high-performance folding knife that won't draw unwanted attention, look no further than Andrew Demko's AD-10. Resembling Andrew's massive 4-Max, but reduced in size and weight, the AD-10 features an ultra-wide flat ground blade that terminates in a sturdy (yet innocuous) drop point. Ground thin at the edge and honed to razor sharpness, the AD-10 delivers unprecedented cutting, shearing, and piercing power in a sub-4-inch blade but remains remarkably resistant to bending, breaking or chipping. The handle of the AD-10 is likewise strong and user-friendly, with heat-treated, full-length aluminum liners, 3D machined G10 scales, and oversized pins and bolts; it fits snugly and securely in the hand due to its precise contouring and integral finger guard. No folder would be complete without a reliable locking mechanism, so Cold Steel has incorporated Andrew's famous Tri-Ad lock. It's been proven over time to be unsurpassed in strength, shock resistance, and durability, and offers unrivaled protection for your irreplaceable fingers. And, to assure lightning quick deployment and convenient carry, Cold Steel has equipped the AD-10 with an ambidextrous thumb stud and dual pocket clips.

Bushcrafters will be pleased
What a great knife. I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered the knife does have a sharp spine near the blade point and by the gimping. Nobody has made this clear until now. This knife will strike a ferro rod to start a fire and looks strong enough to prepare a meal or chop off a tree branch. After just a few minutes of opening & closing the blade drops freely when released.

Amazing EDC
This is a well build knife. I have other cold steel knives and this is my go to knife. This is also my go to over any of my other knives for that matter. I use the AD-10 as my EDC and it replaced my Spartan as my EDC. It just fits much better in my pocket. Its really not that much smaller is size then a Spartan but it just happens to be the perfect size. As with any or most cold steel knives it came very sharp. The build quality is solid and I have not found any play between the blade and the handle. I did put a bit of oil on mine within the pivot point but I tend to do this with all of my folders. Also I trust the lock more then other brands. It makes it seem more of a fixed blade when in use. The knife opens very smooth and the lock snaps into place nicely. The lock is tight but I am just fine with that and I can still close the knife with one hand. The handle provides a nice grip and the clip is much wider then my other knives.

I know Cold Steel could have done better
I haven't been so excited about a new folder in a long time (First knife I've bought with out reviews, but I had to have it). I measured the blade length at 3 9/16" from where the handle scales end to the tip. Cold Steel's website says 4". I prefer the shorter blade, but some people will probably want the 4" as described.I know Cold Steel could have done better because I've seen them do better on the rest of their knives that I own. Finger prints were all over the blade (Not sure if that happened at Knife Center or USPS, but I know it wasn't from a QC person). My AD 10 had some knicks and loose burrs inside the liners (Neglect by the manufacturer, couple shots of compressed air would have resolved the burrs). 0.5mm knick on the back of the lock bar (I know that sounds picky but if I buy something NEW then all knicks or scratches should come from my use). This is the ONLY Cold Steel I've ever received with lateral blade play straight out the box (Slight turn of the pivot screw resolved it, but that probably voided the warranty). Wish there was a full sized forward finger choil like the American Lawman but that would change the design/appearance. The pocket clip... well... it's a Cold Steel... as usual, the tip is too low to easily slide into jean pockets, and after all these years they will probably never fix that.Action is very smooth. Lock bar is easy to disengage in comparison to most of Cold Steel's folders. Lockup is rock solid as expected with zero vertical blade play The handle reminds me of the Ultimate Hunter (slight texture on contoured G10, solid lockdown in hand, very comfortable). Blade came razor sharp (I shaved my face with it). Blade finish is beautiful (nice contrast with the grinds).Overall a great value. This is a sexy beast of a folder as we've come to expect from Cold Steel, but this one is sexier and beastlier than most.
