Cold Steel
Entirely re-engineered for this year our Spike series continue to raise the bar for neck knives! Thin, light and super-tough, their razor sharp, zero ground blades, are complemented by heavily scalloped, textured handle scales that offer a comfortable, secure grip.

Integral quillons provide a safe stop for index finger and thumb, while the textured Faux G-10 provides excellent positive traction even when your hands are cold, wet and slippery.

Available in four distinctive blade shapes (Bowie, Drop Point, Tokyo and Tanto point) they offer all the strength of a solid steel one-piece construction (much stronger than any tactical folder and even rivaling the strength of some boot knives) while still being light enough to carry all day without fatigue.

The Spike series is come complete with a Secure-Ex sheath that provides greater retention and safety. Super lightweight (weighing in at 3oz in the sheath!) the Spikes can be comfortably worn around the neck 24/7 by using the black bead lanyard provided, or carried on a waistband or belt by taking advantage of their Tek-Lok™ compatible design.

Easily concealed, razor sharp and light as a feather – the Spike series by Cold Steel!

Very Nice!
You get your money's worth out of this little gem. First off, it's a good size for an all-around sportsman's knife, although a little slender. The blade is a useful size & shape & many would call the handle grippy. Well, it is nicely textured but more importantly to me it has that single-finger grip constriction that'll let you keep a good grip on the knife even if you oil it.The Krupp steel used in this knife is not a premium steel but it's pretty good for a knife in this price range. It holds an edge well enough for most uses, it's highly rust resistant, & easy to touch up. For the price it's a good deal.Note: I really like a lot of the entry level Cold Steel knives. There are a lot of great bargains to be had.

Good backup
Haven't got much use out if it yet. Appears rather small on site. Extremely thick for a knife that size. Handle is on the small side so I guess that's where spike comes from because you cant see any of the handle when holding it. Do not recommend for self defense for that reason. Retention is key. Sheath is good at that though. Has a sort of scandi bushcraft edge going. My first in that style. Bit on the heavy side for being a neck knife but not to bad. Not sure how the handle scales are placed on but I doubt they're to durable. They aren't to comfortable either.

Backup knife
Got the drop point for strength. A little.long for neck carry (I tried) will fit in boot ok. Came sharp strong and light with very nice sheath. Cant go wrong for 25 bucks throw it in your bug out bag glove box or boot.. Handle a bit rough but for last ditch weapon it will not slip.
