CS62PV2: 62PV2 Frenzy II
Cold Steel
Designed by award-winning custom knifemaker Andrew Demko, the Cold Steel Frenzy takes its inspiration from ancient Japanese Kabutowari – with a thick spine, slender blade, needle-sharp piercing point and a long flat cutting edge. Made from premium American CTS-XHP powdered steel for superior edge retention, and line-grain satin polished with a deep fuller, the Frenzy’s 5.5" blade is as visually appealing as it is effective, and as it catches the light it’s truly a wonder to behold! The Frenzy’s handle is made from multiple layered and 3D CNC Machined dual-tone American G10. It’s thin and flat enough to comfortably carry without “printing” while it’s expertly designed and ergonomically contoured shape provides both comfort and retention in any grip. Equipped with the ground-breaking Tri-Ad locking mechanism for supreme endurance, reliability and safety, the Frenzy is a sleek and stylish mega-folder that takes up very little space in your pocket but snaps open to become a true force to be reckoned with!

Pros: Blade Material, Handle Feel, Overall Quality, Pocket Clip, Weight, Handle Material, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Lock Type, Lock Ease of Use, None
Make Sure You Have Deep Pockets
Amazing knife. Big and shave sharp out of the box. The length of the blade means you'll have to have deep pockets to hold it, but not to buy it. You do have to be careful when opening it, as it's tensioned and could close back on your fingers if they are in the way of the blade. The lock is VERY stiff out of the box and, just now, after 3 -4 weeks of pressing the lock on the corners of tables, chairs and desks to close it, it's starting to break in well enough to use my thumb. Other than that, no real complaints. Friends tell me it's very intimidating, even when they are holding it!

...oh, yeah ! ....
...Andrew Demko ...what else can you say? Oh, yeah; Cold Steel ! ...get your thumbs ready...same Tri-Ad lock release, just one of those CS and finish perfect...centering of blade , dead on center...G-10 feels nice in all grip configurations ....perfect balance just behind pivot...excellent blade grind with nice swage and tip thickening...a little recurve in the blade that slices like a razor .. perfect grind....surprise your coworkers when they ask if someone has a knife to open a package or envelope; :-) ..pocket clip may be a little on the weak side for some, but the knife rides deep in pocket and has enough weight to not be a problem for normal carry...very nice !...the thumb studs are the same on each side and reversible pocket clip..'left hand' friendly ....just a 'fun' blade....

Cons: None
This knife is a slender beast! Feels like a wand in your hand but with a wicked point at the recieving end. Very well made, awesome blade shape and sharpness, ever so slight Wharn/hawkbill type blade. Feels good in pocket despite size. My knife came very tight when deploying lock, getting little better but I like it this way and much safer for intended use. Overall really blown away with the quality, if you like XL folders or something different get one.
