Pros: Sheath/Scabbard, Finish, Overall Quality, Materials
This is an amazing knife, especially at this price range. I'd been shopping for a fixed bowie/trench style knife for awhile and was attracted to those with a pronounced quillon. Then spotted this with the full handguard as well, and the punch pommel. It's a feature combo that I haven't seen on anything else. But I was not expecting the quality of both the knife and the sheath to be as high as it is. They're an incredible pair. I've gotten used to crummy sheaths, but this one is excellent. It has a detent housing that holds the knife secure, allowing you to keep the normal handle snap enclosure free if you want, for a quicker pull. And the detent has a nice thick edge right where your thumb rests, for easy release. The sheath also features a secure velcro fold-over as the belt loop, which means no more having to undo your belt in order to wear or remove the sheath. Lastly, the sheath is reversible so it can be worn on the left or right side, with the knife's handgaurd facing forward or backward however you like. As a leftie, I really appreciate this. The knife itself is as advertised. It's a beast. The balance point is near the index finger groove on the handle, making the knife easy to wield and maneuver better than its weight would imply.
