Corrie Schoeman Handmade Knives
With over 30 years of experience, Corrie Schoeman knows what makes a knife a classic. He is world renowned for his fine craftsmanship and his use of only the best materials. The Panerai features a 3.25" spear point blade made from 1095 high carbon steel with a differentially heat treated hamon finish. It opens using a front flipper that is inlaid with a genuine ruby and features hand-file worked jimping. The action on this knife is smooth and light, fitting into Corrie's sleek style. Resin impregnated giraffe bone with bronze bolsters sit on top of G10 spacers over file worked titanium liners, giving you a dynamic stylized knife. The file worked titanium backspacer has a beautiful paua (abalone) inlay that highlights Corrie's dedication to making a work of art from top to bottom. The knife does not include a pocket clip which makes the ergonomics extremely satisfying. Well-planned designs make Corrie Schoeman a master knifemaker and one of our favorites. We look forward to offering more of his great knives in the future.

Custom knives are hand made in shops around the world. These will typically be extremely high quality and one of a kind pieces meticulously built by the craftsman.
An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for its extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel (it will rust) and most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.
One of the most common natural materials used in knife making, bone handles are usually textured to provide grip and can be dyed almost any color.
