If you appreciate a well built tactical knife, you should really check out these Dragon kitchen knives by Yaxell Japan.

The Dragon Series of knives are handcrafted in Seki, Japan by Yaxell, one of the leading knife manufacturers since 1932.The blades are constructed of one-piece High-Grade American BD1N Nitrogen Steel by Carpenter Technologies, hardened to HRC63. These extremely sharp and durable knives are the perfect blend of Japanese Craftsmanship and advanced American steel and technology.

The company was founded in 1932. Headquarters are located in Seki, the knife capital of Japan. With two factories, one in Japan, and one in China, the company employs a total of 220 people. Great Steel!
This is my go-to knive. The steel is very hard and the handle fits well in my hand. It holds an incredible edge. It is a blend of American Steel and Japanese craftsmanship. It is a beautiful but not a fancy knife. It is designed to be used rather than looked at, like some knifes. I am a former steel worker. I know good still when I see it. As Benjamin Franklin once said no one makes a good knife out of bad still. This knife is made out of good Steel.
