What I Expected
I got one of these for myself and for my daughter, more so as a piece of art. For that, it has delivered. The simple, skeletal frame, accented with a thin, well-fitted piece of rosewood makes for a really good looking, elegant knife. The etching on the blade only adds to the attractiveness. Even the case that it came in is nice looking enough to keep it in for display. Functionally, it was also as I expected it to be. The elegant simplicity of the handle is really not suited for utilitarian purposes. There's almost nothing to hold onto. The blade is really the burliest part of the knife. It was moderately sharp. To those that expect a lot from a knife, it would be considered dull.Again, smartly made for, I suspect, its intended purpose. For utility, not much more than a letter opener.
