Les George/Chad Nichols Hyrax Mid-Tech Flipper Knife 3.3" Stonewashed CPM-154 Plain Blade, Milled Titanium Handles
DTHYRAX: Defiant 7 Mid-Tech Hyrax Flipper
Les George Knives
Les had an idea for a project where he took out as many of the variables as possible. He kept his designs simple to speed up the manufacturing process and adding value by changing the engineering. This led to Les producing mid-tech knives at an astounding quality level. Chad Nichols of Nichols Damascus caught notice and they've collaborated for a venture they call Defiant 7. Chad supplies some of the best Damascus in the industry while Les manufactures some of the best knives available; it's a match made in heaven and we're the beneficiaries.
This mid-tech Hyrax flipper is another awesome offering from Defiant 7 Knives and one of those folders you just can't help but love. It's like a smaller, more readily available version of Les' popular Rockeye folder. The action is fantastically smooth riding on caged bearings and the design is lightweight, compact, yet very stout. The detent is strong enough so that when it breaks, the blade flies open just like an automatic knife and locks up tightly. It's made from CPM-154 stainless steel with a nice drop point shape and strong stonewashed finish. The handle is made from intricately milled titanium with an ergonomic shape that locks the design into your hand. It has a simple Torx screw construction with a lanyard hole and completely flow-through design. This is a superb, hard-use folder without many added frills. It's designed to be your everyday carry companion and it doesn't get much more rock solid than this.

Developed by Chris Reeve, it functions like a liner lock but the lock is comprised of one of the handle scales. It's an extremely strong and easy to manipulate lock.
Includes a pocket clip for easy accessibility and a more secure carry.
A nonferrous metal, it's prized for its high strength to weight ratio and is often used on higher end knives.
This product is USA born and raised.
