Emerson Appalachian Folding Knife 3.7" Black Trailing Point Plain Blade with Wave, Black G10 Handles - APP-BT
EMAPPBT: Appalachian BT Folding Knife
The Appalachian is a design Ernie developed for those of you who asked, "When is Emerson ever going to build a hunter?" Well, he always regarded all of his knives as hunting knives. They were just intended for another kind of animal. Actually there are a number of Emerson designs that work very well in the role of a conventional hunting knife. In fact the world's largest lion was skinned with an Emerson Commander. But, Ernie has never designed a knife that was for game and hunting as its first and primary purpose, until now.
The Emerson Appalachian is just that knife. With a graceful upswept trailing point for delicate areas, enough belly for the hard work, and the Emerson ergonomic handle, this knife provides the perfect hunters package. Growing up in the deep woods of Northern Wisconsin, Ernie knows hunting as well as he knows anything and this is a knife he wish he'd had in those woods when he took his first deer at 12 years of age. "Son, you shot it. You dress it" were the words he remembers his Dad saying to as he placed his Winchester Lever Action 30-30 carbine against a nearby tree. If Ernie had an Appalachian back then, he just might have done a better job of skinning that first deer, maybe.
